So, Quest, the sequel to A.C., wouldn't cooperate yesterday. So, for now, I'm going to work on Charms and try to pick up Quest next week. :)

I am discovering that the one thing that will kill any forward progress on my writing is interruptions. Oh, not the short "yes you may have a glass of water" kinds of things I do for my kids but the longer ones that take me away from my work and create long pauses between stopping and starting again ( Read more... )

Got slowed up a bit when I had to check my narrative against my outline (and I mean crossing things off a physical print out of the outline), but otherwise did pretty good on getting the words down fairly quickly.

And, after a couple of days of just saying 'yea, I have words', I actually have some metrics for you. ;)

I'm discovering that there are things that I just seem to have a hard time with in books, even in the early critting stages where more patience is needed in general. I feel like a real bitch about it, but I find I just can't crit certain things, and I'm sure that makes me a bad person. :P ( Read more... )
